I love this quote by Kahlil Gibran, one of my very favourite authors, – forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet, and the winds long to play in your hair. We rush through life, forgetting to take time to walk barefoot in the grass, or the water, or even at home if that is all we have. Allow the wind to blow us a little, breathe the air, rejoice in life. It is too easy to get caught up in the rat race, give yourself ten minutes a day to feel and connect with the earth, and when you have learned that it is ok to do that, build it up, and spend more time feeling joyful. Joy takes practise if you have forgotten how to feel it.
