White on White

What art means to me:  At the moment I am creating White on White canvases, pale, tranquil, using mainly recycled materials.

This is an indication of where I am right now, I could not make an angry dark collage if you paid me.

This is a place of transition, coming out into light having spent the year processing the death of my mother.  I am amazed at how it affected me, how alone I felt after her passing even though she had become old and ill for some years.

Have you had a parent pass, and how did it affect you?

This white phase is a feeling of lightness, a brief blank space before forward movement starts.  I love these canvases, they are peace.
